The buzz around the iPhone 16 series is heating up, with leaks and rumors swirling about what Apple has in store for its upcoming lineup. From CAD renders to smartphone cases, eager eyes have been scouring the internet for any hint of the new iPhones’ designs.
iPhone 16 Series Dummy Units Leak
Adding to the excitement, dummy units – used by case manufacturers to ensure their products fit perfectly – have surfaced online, offering us an early glimpse into what the iPhone 16 series might offer. Sonny Dickson shared images on Twitter, unveiling the designs of all four models in the iPhone 16 lineup. As anticipated, there are some striking design changes compared to the previous iPhone 15 lineup.
Notable Changes in Design
The most significant changes are in store for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. The images showcase a shift in camera alignment from a diagonal setup to a vertical one. This alteration is aimed at facilitating spatial video recording for Vision Pro. While looking at the Pro models there seems to be no design changes.
New Buttons and Features
Moreover, there’s another interesting addition – the Action button, previously exclusive to Pro iPhone models, seems to be present across all iPhone 16s. Additionally, there’s a new Capture button on the device’s right side. Rumors are rife about the functionality of the Capture button, with suggestions that it will feature a mechanical design alongside a capacitive surface for gesture-based zoom controls.
Size Matters: iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max
The dummy units also hint at size differences, with the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max appearing slightly larger than the base iPhone 16 and 16 Plus. While not confirmed, speculations suggest that the Pro models might boast a slight increase in display size, possibly reaching 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches for the Pro and Pro Max, respectively.
Expected Launch Of iPhone 16 Series
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 16 series sometime in September. However, it’s important to remember that leaks and rumors are subject to change, and nothing is set in stone until the official reveal.
