Leaked renders of Samsung Galaxy A06 show a new design and colors. The budget phone features a MediaTek Helio G85 chip, dual cameras, and a 5,000mAh battery.
Samsung is gearing up to introduce the Galaxy A06, a budget-friendly smartphone succeeding last year’s Galaxy A05. Recent leaks have surfaced online, giving us a complete look at the phone’s design. These images, shared by well-known leaker Evan Blass, reveal the design and some key specifications. Additionally, the Galaxy A06 has received BIS certification, hinting at an imminent launch in India.
Samsung Galaxy A06 Design Highlights
The Samsung Galaxy A06 showcases a modern and sleek design. The front of the device features a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera and a noticeable chin at the bottom. The screen has flat edges, likely offering a boxy chassis for a comfortable grip.
On the right edge, the volume rocker and power button are conveniently placed for easy access. When you flip the phone to the back, you will find a dual-camera setup and an LED flash. These elements lie flat on the back panel, without any casing, which is a slight departure from the Galaxy A05, as the camera rings appear slightly larger.
The back panel also sports a unique textured finish, adding to its aesthetic appeal. The leaked renders reveal that the Samsung Galaxy A06 will be available in two color options:
- White
- Blue
This design retains some features from its predecessor while introducing subtle changes that enhance its overall look and feel.
Samsung Galaxy A06 Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy A06 is expected to come with several impressive features. According to its Geekbench V4.2 listing (model number SM-A065F), the phone will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 chip, the same processor found in the Galaxy A05. This chip supports only 4G networks.
The phone’s Geekbench scores are as follows:
- Single-core: 1,644
- Multi-core: 5,326
The handset is likely to run Android 14 out of the box. It will come with 4GB of RAM, with a possibility of a 6GB variant. The Galaxy A06 is expected to feature a 6.7-inch display with HD+ resolution. This whole system will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery supported by 15W fast charging support (downgrade from the 25W support in the Galaxy A05).
The Galaxy A06 has also been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG platform, confirming its impending release. The phone’s connectivity features are expected to include the standard options for a device in its category.
With its recent leaks, the Samsung Galaxy A06 is expected to launch in India soon. Stay tuned for more updates on its official announcement and pricing details.
