The iQOO 13 is rumored to feature a light strip design on its back panel, bringing back a classic element with a modern twist. Learn more about its expected specs here.
As 2024 approaches, the next wave of Android flagship smartphones from brands like OnePlus, iQOO, Realme, and OPPO is nearly ready for release. Among these, the iQOO 13 is drawing significant attention. A new leak has surfaced, hinting that the iQOO 13 might come with a unique light strip design on its back panel, bringing back a design element that fans of the brand might remember.
a Modern Twist in iQOO 13
According to a tip from the well-known leaker “Panda is Bald,” the iQOO 13 is expected to feature a light strip on the back panel. This design element isn’t entirely new for iQOO fans. The first-generation iQOO models, launched back in 2019, included a similar feature. The original design had a light patch embedded within the glass back panel, allowing light to pass through in a striking visual display. The company even provided software support to enhance the light strip’s effects, adding a unique aesthetic to the phones.
Now, it seems iQOO might be revisiting this iconic design, possibly in a more refined and modern form. While the details on how this will be incorporated into the final design of the iQOO 13 are still unclear, the return of the light strip is sure to add to the phone’s appeal.
iQOO 13 Expected Specifications
The iQOO 13 is set to follow in the footsteps of its predecessor, the iQOO 12, but with some notable upgrades. Unlike the iQOO 12, there may not be a Pro variant this time, which suggests iQOO might be focusing all its efforts on making the standard iQOO 13 an outstanding device.
Here’s what we know so far:
- Processor: The iQOO 13 is rumored to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. This would be a step up from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 found in the iQOO 12, likely offering significant performance improvements.
- Display: While the exact display size hasn’t been confirmed, the iQOO 13 is expected to feature a 2K AMOLED display from BOE, with a 144Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals.
- Camera: The phone is expected to come with a 50MP triple-camera setup, which may include a 3x zoom sensor. For comparison, the iQOO 12 had a 50MP Omnivision OV50H sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 64MP 3x telephoto camera.
- Battery: The iQOO 13 might house a larger battery, possibly around 6,000mAh, with support for 100W fast charging. This would be an upgrade from the iQOO 12, which had a 5,000mAh battery and 120W ultra-fast flash charging.
- Security: The phone is also rumored to feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for enhanced security.
