Asus turned heads at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 by unveiling their latest gadgets, notably the ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro, designed especially for gamers. Now, the company has spilled the beans on how much the ROG Phone 8 Pro will cost in India.
Both the ROG Phone 8 and Phone 8 Pro boast similar specs, but they’ve got their own distinctive features. The ROG Phone 8 rocks an Aura RGB LED logo, while the 8 Pro boasts an AniMe Vision mini-LED system on its rear. However, the RAM and storage setups set them apart.
ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro Price in India
For Indian gamers eyeing the ROG Phone 8 Pro, there are two flavors on the menu. The base model, armed with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, comes with a price tag of ₹94,999. Want the power-packed edition with 24GB RAM and 1TB storage? That’ll set you back ₹1,19,999 and it’s only available in Phantom Black. As an extra treat, Asus offers the AeroActive Cooler X accessory at ₹5,999.
While the sale date remains a mystery, Asus has confirmed that the ROG Phone 8 Pro will be up for grabs at Vijay Sales, Asus Exclusive stores, Asus ROG stores, and their very own Asus e-shop.
ASUS ROG Phone 8 Series Specifications
The ROG Phone 8 series flaunts a 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED LTPO display with Full HD+ resolution, hitting a smooth 165Hz refresh rate and offering up to 2,500 nits of brightness. Slim and light, measuring 163.8 x 76.8 x 8.9mm and weighing 225 grams, they’re sleeker than previous models. Colors? The ROG Phone 8 has Rebel Grey and Phantom Black, while the Pro sticks to Phantom Black.
Both phones pack the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. The standard model has up to 12/16GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the Pro jumps to 16/24GB RAM and 512 GB/1 TB storage. They carry a 5,500mAh battery, zipping up with 65W fast charging and supporting wireless charging at 15W.
This ROG Phone 8 series also comes with exciting AI features. The “AI Grabber” makes gaming tips easy by recognizing and copying in-game text. AI boosts apps like Gallery and Settings. Plus, an upcoming “AI Wallpaper” feature will craft personalized wallpapers.
In the camera department, A 32MP front camera is placed to take your selfies, while the rear setup boasts a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP telephoto camera. Oh, and they kept the 3.5mm audio jack and pumped up the sound with a 5-magnet speaker system.
