Discover the POCO Pad and POCO F6 series launching globally on May 23rd. Expect impressive features, competitive pricing, and robust performance from POCO’s latest devices.
POCO is gearing up for an exciting event as it prepares to unveil its first tablet, the POCO Pad, along with the new POCO F6 series. The launch is scheduled for May 23rd in Dubai, marking a significant expansion in POCO’s product lineup. Here’s a closer look at what we can expect from this Pad and the highly anticipated POCO F6 series.
POCO Pad Global Launch Details
POCO has officially announced via X (formerly Twitter) that the POCO Pad will be launched in Dubai on May 23rd at 3:00 PM local time (4:30 PM IST). This launch event will also see the debut of the POCO F6 series, set to make waves in both India and other international markets.
While POCO has kept specific details about the POCO Pad under wraps, leaks and certifications suggest that it might be a rebranded version of the Redmi Pad Pro, which was launched in China recently. If this is the case, this Pad could soon be available in India following its global launch.
Expected Features and Specifications of the POCO Pad
Based on the Redmi Pad Pro’s specifications and various leaks, here’s what we might see in the POCO Pad:
Display
The POCO Pad is expected to feature a large 12.1-inch 2.5K display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 600 nits of peak brightness. This would offer a superior visual experience, especially for multimedia consumption and gaming. In comparison, the Realme Pad 2, a potential competitor, comes with an 11.5-inch 2K display with the same refresh rate.
Processor
Under the hood, the POCO Pad might be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, promising robust performance. This is a step up from the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC found in the Realme Pad 2, potentially offering better efficiency and faster processing capabilities.
Camera
For photography and video calls, the POCO Pad is likely to sport an 8MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. This camera setup matches the Realme Pad 2, ensuring decent image quality for a tablet.
Storage
The tablet is anticipated to come with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded further. This configuration would make it suitable for multitasking and storing a large amount of data, comparable to the Realme Pad 2’s offerings.
Operating System
The POCO Pad might run on Android 14, based on POCO’s custom HyperOS, delivering a seamless and user-friendly interface with the latest Android features.
Battery and Charging
A significant highlight is the expected 10,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support, ensuring extended usage and quick recharging times. In contrast, the Realme Pad 2 features an 8360mAh battery with similar fast charging capabilities.
POCO Pad Price Expectations
While official pricing details are yet to be confirmed, the POCO Pad is expected to be priced around AED 761 or Rs 17,600, aligning with its cost in China (CNY 1,499). This competitive pricing would position it well against rivals like the Realme Pad 2, which starts at Rs 19,999.
