Hot on the heels of the budget POCO M6 5G smartphone launch, POCO is prepping for something big: the debut of its mid-range X6 series in India. Almost everyone knows that the POCO phones are aggressively focused on high performance and this POCO X6 Series will be no different.
The company has started dropping hints on social media, teasing the arrival of the eagerly anticipated POCO X6 and X6 Pro models. Recently the company head Himanshu Tondon shared the first official teaser of the POCO X6 Series on its X handle.

Himanshu Tandon, from POCO India, subtly hinted at the X6 series launch on social media. Although not explicitly naming the X6, the cryptic post hinted with the letter ‘X’, saying, “Santa is coming with the gift soon.”
While details regarding the launch timeline remain undisclosed, leaks suggest a probable arrival around January. Speculations also hint at the X6 Pro possibly being a rebranded Redmi K70e, while the X6 might align with the Redmi Note 13 Pro.
POCO X6 Series Specifications (Supposed)
- Display: This series of smartphones may see a 6.67-inch 12-bit OLED screen with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz higher refresh rate, and 1800 nits peak brightness.
- Processors: The X6 Pro might feature MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra SoC, while the vanilla X6 could house a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. The chipset will be further powered by up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB internal storage.
- Rear Camera: It is expected that the pro model will attach a 200MP primary camera + 8MP ultra-wide camera + 2MP Mmcro camera on the back, while the standard POCO X6 might sport a 64MP main camera along with the 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro sensor.
- Front Camera: Both Pro and Non-Pro models could carry a 16MP selfie shooter.
- Battery: X6 Pro may offer a 5,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging, while the vanilla X6 might feature a 5,100mAh battery with 67W fast charging.
- Operating System: The POCO X6 Series phones will come pre-installed with the out-of-the-box Android 14 having HyperOS custom skin.
