HMD Global is gearing up to launch its new smartphone, the HMD Skyline, which seems to draw inspiration from the iconic Nokia Lumia 920. Recent leaks , including a listing from a Belgian retailer, have given us a closer look at this upcoming mid-range device. Here’s everything we know about the Skyline so far.
HMD Skyline Design and Appearance
The HMD Skyline has been shown in several leaked renders that highlight its design, closely resembling the classic Nokia Lumia 920. The phone features a boxy chassis with sharp corners and rounded edges on the sides, reminiscent of the Lumia’s Fabula design.
The back panel sports a rectangular module housing three camera sensors and an LED flash, along with the HMD logo. The Skyline is available in Pink, with a Black variant also revealed by tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore. The volume rocker and power button are conveniently located on the right edge of the phone.

The HMD Skyline recently appeared on the Geekbench platform, confirming its marketing name and some key specifications. The phone scored 1027 points in the single-core test and 2857 points in the multi-core test, indicating solid performance for a mid-range device.
It is expected to be powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 2.40GHz, likely the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM. This chipset is also found in devices like the Moto Edge 50 Fusion and POCO X6, ensuring reliable performance.
