After months of speculation, iQOO has officially confirmed that its next flagship will be called iQOO 15 — skipping the “iQOO 14” altogether. The reason? In China and many Asian countries, the number 4 is seen as unlucky. iQOO has done this before, skipping from iQOO 3 to iQOO 5, and is now following the same naming pattern.

iQOO 15 Teaser Out Officially in China
iQOO has started teasing the new series through a special “Experience Officer” campaign on Chinese social platforms. Selected users will get a chance to try the phone after launch.
Interestingly, the promotion is tied to the 2025 ChinaJoy event. iQOO will host an “Honor of Kings” 5v5 gaming tournament on August 1. The winning team will receive the iQOO 15 for free once it goes on sale.
