Departing from the previous hardcore gaming-centric design, the ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro maintain top-tier performance with flagship chipsets while embracing a more versatile look and feel. Unlike their predecessors, the ROG Phone 8 series showcases a sleeker appearance. The front sports a flat display with a centered punch-hole and narrower bezels, a departure from the thick bezels of previous ROG phones. The backside of the ROG Phone 8 features a customizable Aura RGB lighting logo, while the Pro version boasts a customizable AniMe Vision mini-LED lighting equipped with 341 LEDs. Both models ensure durability with IP68-rated dust and water resistance.

Surprisingly thin and light, measuring 163.8 x 76.8 x 8.9mm and weighing 225 grams, these phones are notably slimmer and lighter than their predecessors. The ROG Phone 8 arrives in Rebel Grey and Phantom Black shades, while the Pro variant comes solely in Phantom Black.

Under the hood, both the ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro house the mighty Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The standard model offers up to 12 GB / 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256 GB of UFS 4.0 storage, while the Pro variant steps it up with 16 GB / 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512 GB / 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Sporting a 5,500mAh battery supporting 65W fast charging, Quick Charge 5.0, and PD charging, these phones also support 15W Qi wireless charging.
