Nothing may launch a cheaper version of Nothing Phone (2) in the market with a name Nothing Phone (2a). Here are the tipped Processor and Design details of the phone.
Last week Nothing tweeted on its X handle that “Something is coming this week” and at the same time, some leaks had also caught a new Nothing device on some certification website. Moreover, Nothing has also been confirmed for an event in the upcoming MWC 2024 held on 27th December.
So it might be possible that Nothing can unveil something about Nothing Phone (3) or it may launch the new Nothing Phone (2a). Till now nothing has been confirmed about the new phone but one of the tipsters Dylan Roussel has tipped the chipset and design details of the upcoming Phone (2a). So, let’s check it out.
Nothing Phone (2a) Design and Chipset
The tipster has mentioned that the Nothing Phone (2a) will have an A142 model number and Pacman or Aero or Aerodactyl codename. The model number is the same which was previously leaked on the BIS listing. The tipster has tipped that this time the Nothing will use a MediaTek chipset inside the Nothing Phone (2a) and it will be the MediaTek Dimensity 7200.
Apart from that, the post has also attached the design video of the Phone (2a). The device is visible in a rounded camera module with 2 camera lenses and three glyph lightings around it. Apart from this, the Phone (2a) is also tipped to feature the highest battery size of 4920mAh in any Nothing device. Here we have some more leaked data to see about this phone specs.

As per the previous leaks, the Nothing Phone (2a) is supposed to feature a 6.7″ Full HD+ 120Hz AMOLED display with a punch-hole-styled design and flat edges. The phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor coupled with a Mali-G10 MP4 GPU, 6/8GB of RAM, and 128/256GB Storage.
In terms of the camera department, there may be a dual camera setup of a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. For the selfies and video calls there may be a 16MP selfie sensor on the front side.
Other than that the phone will pack a 4920mAh battery with fast charging support, dual stereo speakers, USB Type-C port, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, and the latest Android 14 operating system out of the box. The phone will launch in two color variants Grey and white.
If we talk about the pricing of the phone then there are no leaks available about it but by looking at Nothing’s company portfolio they have launched two premium mid-range category smartphones priced above ₹35,000 and there are lots of Indian users whose general budget stays around 20-25K. So, it may be possible that the Nothing Phone (2a) may launch in that mid-range category.
