Honor is gearing up to launch its second-generation GT series smartphones, and the leaks have already started flowing in. According to new details shared by well-known Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, the Honor GT 2 and GT 2 Pro will come with impressive upgrades in performance, display, and battery life.
Let’s take a look at everything that’s been revealed so far.
Table of Contents
HONOR GT 2 & GT 2 Pro Chipset Specs
The Honor GT 2 series will include two models — a standard GT 2 and a more powerful GT 2 Pro. The standard GT 2 is currently in the testing phase with two different processors:
- Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (SM8750)
- New Snapdragon chip (SM8845)

The SM8845 is expected to be built on TSMC’s advanced 3nm N3P process, featuring a custom Oryon CPU with a 2+6 core layout (2 high-power cores and 6 performance cores). While this chip may not match the top-end Snapdragon 8 Elite, it’s still aimed at delivering flagship-level performance.
Interestingly, the Redmi K90 is also rumored to be using this same SM8845 chip. Meanwhile, the GT 2 Pro is expected to launch with Qualcomm’s next-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (SM8850), which could make its official debut around September 2025.
HONOR GT 2 Series Display and Design Highlights
Both phones are expected to feature a 6.7-inch flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution and LTPS technology, offering better visuals while saving power.
Key Display & Design Features:
- Flat 2.5D panel with minimal curves
- 6.7-inch LTPS OLED screen
- 1.5K resolution for sharp visuals
- Sturdy metal frame for premium feel
- GT 2 Pro may include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor (first in the series)

This upgrade would push the Pro model closer to flagship territory, offering faster and more secure fingerprint recognition.
HONOR GT 2 Series Big Battery for Long-Lasting Use
Honor is continuing its trend of offering large batteries in the GT series. Last year’s GT Pro featured a massive 7,200mAh battery, and this year’s GT 2 Pro might come with an equal or even larger unit.
While exact charging speeds haven’t been confirmed yet, users can expect strong battery life especially when paired with the more power-efficient chips from Qualcomm.
Honor seems to be preparing a solid upgrade with the GT 2 lineup, offering high-end specs, durable design, and long battery life. The real-world performance and pricing will decide how well these phones perform in the competitive flagship segment, but the early leaks definitely paint an exciting picture.
The official launch date is still under wraps, but with such detailed specs already out, we can expect more information to surface very soon.
