February will witness the debut of the Neo smartphones, slated to be available on Amazon and the iQOO India website. The brand hints at launching the smartphone initially in a vibrant Nautical Blue variant, previously confirming a dual-tone variant with leatherette material.
Yogesh Brar hints at an early February launch, revealing a possible sub-Rs 40,000 price tag. This puts the upcoming iQOO in direct competition with the awaited OnePlus 12R 5G.
iQOO Neo 9 Pro Specifications (Expected)
A significant shift is expected in the processor department for the Indian market. While the China version featured a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, the Indian variant is rumored to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. This change aligns with the Indian preference for Qualcomm chipsets, as indicated by a recent Counterpoint Research study.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 boasts impressive specifications, including a 4nm process, a powerful CPU configuration, and an Adreno 740 GPU. Imaging capabilities are anticipated to be strong, with a 50MP Sony IMX 920 primary sensor accompanied by a 50MP ultrawide sensor.
Notably, the Sony IMX 920 sensor debuted with the Vivo X100 series, launched in India today. Powering this device is a substantial 5160mAh battery, supporting rapid 120W fast charging for uninterrupted usage.
