Tecno is bringing its new phone, the Tecno Pop 8, to India. They teased it on social media and even shared its performance scores. This phone was already released in other countries, and now it’s arriving in India soon. Tecno gave a sneak peek of its launch date, price, and screen details.

This budget-friendly phone is set to hit the market on January 3. It’s the first new phone of 2024 coming to India. Tecno plans to keep the price around Rs 5,xxx, aiming for it to be under Rs 6,000.

The phone boasts a 6.6-inch screen with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and a strong surface. Amazon India has a special page for this phone, hinting at its arrival. The phone will come with something called a Dynamic Port, though details on that are scarce.

Underneath, it’s powered by a UniSoC T606 processor, 4GB RAM, and 64GB storage that can be expanded to a huge 1TB. It scored well in a performance test and can use extra memory virtually. There are two cameras at the back, a big battery, and a fingerprint scanner on the side.

- Screen: The phone will offer a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS LCD display which will have a 90Hz refresh rate and punch-hole design. It also offers a unique feature named dynamic port.
- Processor: The phone will be powered by a UniSoC T606 chip coupled with Mali G57 GPU, 3/4GB RAM, and 64/128GB Storage. The RAM also has the virtual RAM feature to extend it.
- Cameras: To capture photos and videos this phone will bring a 13MP dual camera setup on the back and an 8MP selfie sensor on the front.
- Battery: The company will pack a typical 5000mAh battery along with the 10W USB Type-C wired charging support.
- Other Features: This budget phone also features stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, and an Android 13 Go Edition operating system.
