Human Mobile Devices (HMD) has started dropping hints about its soon-to-be-launched smartphone, which boasts of easy repairability. This comes after the company announced its plans to unveil HMD-branded smartphones at the recent Mobile World Congress (MWC) event.
A Glimpse of HMD’s Repairable Phone
The Finnish brand has teased the arrival of its upcoming repairable smartphone through its social media channels. The teaser reveals that the smartphones will be available in Black and Pink colors initially, with the promise of more color options in the future. Furthermore, HMD has given us a sneak peek at the camera setup, confirming a powerful 108MP primary camera.
The repairable smartphone is scheduled to be officially launched in July. Speculations from Nokiamob suggest that HMD might market this device under the Fusion or Legend branding. It’s worth noting that the back of the smartphone will be crafted from polycarbonate plastic.
HMD Repairable Phone Design and Repair Features
The teasers also hint at the device sporting rounded corners and polished aluminium accents. At the MWC 2024 event, HMD assured that repairing the screen of this smartphone would be much simpler compared to other models. They’ve announced a convenient door-to-door screen replacement service after the availability of spare parts.
In addition to the repairable smartphone, HMD will also introduce an HMD-branded Barbie Flip smartphone, expected to hit the market in May. Furthermore, customers can anticipate a smartphone with customizable hardware, allowing them to choose a shell that best fits their preferences. HMD has also confirmed its commitment to continue producing Nokia-branded phones, with expected releases this summer.
